Architect / Project Manager
NORLINX, India has immediate need for a Senior Architect/Project Manager
with
strong command of technical details, and experience in design and
planning of
enterprise software products for the management of IT
infrastructure.
This position requires a high level of experience as a lead design
architect,
direct client
interface and project management, strong
design background,
ability to multi-task and
manage a diverse group of
projects.
Self-motivation, excellent communication skills and

Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on design and development experience, with a track record in developing enterprise software products.
- Knowledge of datacenter operation and datacenter management solutions (i.e. Tivoli, HP Open view) is required.
- Demonstrated innovator, who thinks about problems from both a technology and customer viewpoint, and is comfortable working with domain, market and customer experts.
- Exceptional design and programming skills. MS or PhD in computer science preferred.
- Equally comfortable writing code, specifications, or leading a team to productize a new technology.
- Relevant experience in enterprise software, enterprise applications, search or related areas.
Primary Objectives:
- Lead the design, development and enhancement of our GSM products in response to market demand and company strategy.
- Create performance, scalability, and extensibility objectives and ensure objectives are carried through and meet ISO compliance.
- Simplify the maintenance, and extend integration capabilities.
- Stabilize the existing application, participate in charting the course for future development.
- Help redesign and architect our core product offerings to meet increasing business demand.
- Proactively identify performance optimization opportunities and implement solutions.
- Provide feasibility guidance to product management
Required skills:
- Create enterprise software interfaces for hardware systems that communicate using SNMP, MODBUS, BACNET
- Drafting of Technical Architecture and Test Plans
- 6 years programming using C#, VB, .NET, and related technologies
- WPF would be a plus
- Ability to formally communicate architectural designs and plans
- Converting project/client requirements into technical tasks and providing estimates for these tasks
- handle multiple projects at one time
- can work as a project team leader or as support, as needed
- have shown leadership in an Extreme Programming or Rapid Application Development environment previously
- Experience with both web and windows based .NET application development
- Minimum 5 years of object oriented analysis as well as n-tier system design and development experience
- Familiarity with with a wide variety of database and web technologies including: various RDBMS products; LDAP, C#, XML, and JDBC
- Excellent knowledge of programming (program design, flowcharting, coding, testing, debugging, etc.) and communication networks
How to document program design and maintenance - Strong understanding of SDLC and business process mapping
- Experience with third party systems, SOA and Web Services, COM, and internal and external clients
- Strong knowledge of the new technologies emerging in web services
